Abod and Associates, LLC

Mr. Abod is the Managing Partner for Abod & Associates Inc. Mr. Abod established the firm in 1984, and has developed a rapidly growing accounting and tax practice with several qualified financial and accounting professionals. Serving his clients for over twenty years, Mr. Abod has been instrumental in assisting his clients in establishing systems of internal accounting control which enabled sustained growth and high profitability. 

Mr. Abod has developed a substantial individual and business income tax and compliance practice. Mr. Abod reviews each clients situation and works closely to coordinate a tax planning strategy specifically designed to the individual needs of each taxpayer. These plans work to minimize taxes through planning and careful review to maximize deductions.  

Mr. Abod works closely with his corporate clients to provide a full range of accounting services, from full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) services for a publicly traded company, to outsourced accounting staffing for all facets of the organization’s accounting functions, including payroll, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, general ledger account analyses, and income tax preparation.  

Mr. Abod was formerly the Vice President of Finance and Administration for two technology firms. Previous to that, he was the Controller for a venture capital company and multiple subsidiaries, including two government contractors. He was also an Audit Supervising Senior for Touche Ross & Co., (currently Deloitte & Touche) a “Big Four” national accounting firm.  

Mr. Abod is a member in good standing of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Tax Practice Section of the AICPA, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Society of Accountants, and the National Society of Tax Professionals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland. He is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the States of Maryland and Florida.
